We are currently recruiting a faculty member for a graduate nursing faculty position. The primary focus is teaching conceptual content for Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or equivalent scope and Doctor of Nursing Practice courses. This is a full time 12-month appointment. The selected applicant must commit to living in Albuquerque metropolitan statistical area.
The incoming faculty will teach and maintain an active New Mexico APRN License and National Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner. The combination of teaching and clinical experience is a fundamental component of our educational mission.
Responsibilities may include:
- classroom, online, and simulation/lab teaching
- mentoring, advising, and precepting students
- travel to perform site visits which may include rural locations
- assisting with student oversight, scholarship/service, and participation in program activities and committees to ensure stated program goals are achieved
