What are the responsibilities and job description for the Open Rank of Neurosurgery - Pediatric Neurosurgery position at unm?

 

The University of New Mexico School of Medicine Department of Neurosurgery is recruiting to fill a board certified or board eligible, Open Rank, Open Track, position for provision of pediatric neurosurgery care.  This person will join the established pediatric neurosurgeon currently practicing and teaching neurosurgery residents at the University of New Mexico.  The University of New Mexico is the only tertiary referral Neurosurgical center in the State of 2.3 million people.  There is a significant need and opportunity to grow and expand an established practice focused on the pediatric patients of New Mexico.  Overall, the department has a comprehensive practice focusing on a diverse range of neurological disorders in both pediatric and adult neurosurgery, with recent re-establishment of an ACGME approved residency in 2022.  UNM is also the only Level 1 trauma center in the state and participation in the general trauma call pool will be expected.
