The University of New Mexico Student Health & Counseling clinic (SHAC) is recruiting for a knowledgeable and experienced Occupational Therapist (Part Time - 20 Hours) to provide professional OT services to a diverse university student body in our General Medicine clinic. This position provides direct patient care and/or rehabilitative and developmental therapy to individuals with physical disabilities and/or functional limitations in clinic, inpatient, outpatient, and outreach programs. Plans therapy programs, directs and assists patients in exercises and use of wheelchairs and other devices, and evaluates patient progress.
The Student Health & Counseling Center is located at the center of campus. The clinic provides comprehensive primary and mental health services and has a laboratory, x-ray, pharmacy, physical therapy, acupuncture, case management, and health promotions on site. Other medical services provided are same day appointments, travel medicine, immunizations, and sports medicine.
