The University of New Mexico Facilities Department is looking for a Licensed Irrigation Technician to join our team! In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining irrigation systems across our campus, helping our green spaces flourish. Key Responsibilities:

  • Irrigation System Maintenance: Operate, maintain, and repair irrigation systems, including valves, timers, controllers, and sprinkler heads.
  • System Operation: Turn irrigation systems on and off as designated, ensuring optimal watering schedules are followed.
  • Equipment Handling: Work with electrical and plumbing components such as timers, clocks, valves, controllers, and backflow devices to ensure system functionality.
  • General Maintenance: Assist with other maintenance tasks as needed, promoting workplace safety and sustainability in all practices.
  • Snow Removal: Perform snow removal duties as required to maintain safe and accessible campus grounds.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe and secure working environment.
