What are the responsibilities and job description for the Attorney position at unm?
The Utton Transboundary Resources Center at the University of New Mexico School of Law seeks an Attorney to assist with the preventive diplomacy efforts of the Utton Center to address natural resources issues across New Mexico and the West. This position reports to the Director and serves as a staff attorney. Main duties include:
- Providing analysis of natural resource legal, policy, and management issues.
- Conducting and overseeing research into a variety of natural resource legal issues.
- Writing, editing, and finalizing reports, articles, and other documents.
- Advising Utton Center staff and partners about legal issues in specialty areas.
- Preparing and presenting lectures and public talks about natural resource legal issues.
- Coordinating studies and/or evaluating a variety of natural resource legal issues.
- Preparing grant and contract proposals, and other documents, as needed.
- Supervising student employees.
- Performing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
