What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coding Specialist Lead - Revenue Cycle position at UNLV Medicine?
The Coding Specialist Lead oversees and monitors performance, provides training and coordinator workflow for the assigned coding staff. Responsible for accurate and timely assignment and review of professional coding related to ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS codes for multi-specialty groups.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalency
- Certified Professional Coding Designation (CPC) or equivalent certification required
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 years Multi-Specialty Coding
- 2 years Supervisory
- 2 years EPIC
- Payor contractual agreements/fee schedule knowledge
- Intermediate oral and written communication skills required
- Work is multi-tasked with frequent interruptions
- Must be well organized and detail-oriented
- Excellent organizational, analytical and time management skills
- Type at least 45 WPM and 10-key proficient
- Computer skills required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) basic computer knowledge
- Requires manual dexterity to use computer, telephone and peripherals
- Positive and professional attitude is expected to be maintained at all times
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- May include standing, sitting, and/or walking for extended periods
- May include performing repetitive tasks
- May include lifting up to 25 pounds
