This position is responsible for providing nutrition management services in an outpatient and inpatient setting. The position will work as part of a care team at UNLV Health, working with faculty, residents, and students.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics or related field required
- Completion of dietetic internship and trainee program or equivalent required
- Certified Nutritionist Specialist Certification preferred
- Conducts assessments, plans and implements diet recommendations to children with special health care needs
- Selects the appropriate feeding modality for the patient and accurately calculates nutritional needs. Changes to the nutrition plan of care are made according to findings in a timely fashion
- Provides Nutrition consultation in the assigned interdisciplinary specialty clinics
- Assumes a proactive role with patient/family education and patient/family satisfaction in the practice setting
- Assumes personal accountability to enhance the patient experience by using high quality, patient satisfaction-directed interactions/tools/activities in the execution of duties
- Always interacts with patients and families in a compassionate and respectful manner, at all times
- Documents nutrition care plans and recommendations and ensures timely availability of information for inclusion in the interdisciplinary care plan
- Participates in training of staff, students, and residents; and as requested by Department Manager, mentors, and provides education on areas of expertise
- May include standing, sitting, and/or walking for extended periods
- May include performing repetitive tasks

- May include lifting up to 25 pounds
