What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant (Temporary Contract) position at Unlimited Potential?
The Staff Accountant will assist in month-end processes, prepare journal entries, and perform general bookkeeping. This position will prepare data for the internal and external auditors and will work on special projects as requested.
This is a full-time temporary contract of up to 6 months. This role is hybrid two days a week in office.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the month-end, half-year, and year-end financial submissions
- Prepare and posting of journal entries
- Perform and assist with account and bank reconciliations
- Assist with Budget preparation and Analysis
- Prepare and gather data for external and internal auditors
- Set up new vendor files and W-9 tracking
- Manage customer contract files, calculate commission and rebates payments
- Data Analysis and Reporting to support sales and margin objectives
- Backup for setting up new customer files
- Audit inventory transactions and daily low margin reporting
- Implement price changes in ERP system
- Assist with other corporate accounting duties and special projects as directed by Management
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business with an emphasis in accounting required
- Minimum of o1-3 years in accounting experience
- Extensive knowledge of Excel and Word
- Prefer experience with Hyperion Reporting Software
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Possess ability to work independently and as a team player
- Must be accurate and detailed oriented
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Must be high energy and self-motivated
- Concur Administrative experience strongly preferred
- Treasury experience preferred
- Saturdays and holidays may be required during month-end
