ULS
Senior H2B Immigration Attorney
Build, lead, and own the H-2B division at one of the fastest-growing immigration companies in the country.
Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Plano, TX (Hybrid/ Remote Flexibility considered)
Compensation: Base $150K–$200K percentage of the division (total comp trajectory to $500K)
The Opportunity
We’re one of the fastest growing immigration companies in the country, and we’re building our H-2B practice into a standalone division. We’re looking for a senior H-2B attorney to build, lead, and grow with the autonomy of a practice owner and the upside to match. This is a rare chance to step into a Director level seat, take the reins of a high-volume book of business, and shape workforce strategy for hundreds of employers across the industries that depend on seasonal labor. If you know the H-2B program inside and out and have ever wanted to run your own practice without building the infrastructure from scratch, this is the job for you.
About the Role
As our Senior H-2B Immigration Attorney, you’ll lead the division, casework, client growth, and team direction. You’ll oversee a portfolio approaching 400 accounts and a client base of 500 employees, owning both the legal strategy and the business outcomes. You’ll be the firm’s senior authority on all things H-2B: the timing, the seasonality, the restrictions, and the hard-won tricks of the trade that separate a certified petition from a denied one.
What You’ll Do
- Build, lead, and scale the H-2B division, owning both legal strategy and P&L outcomes
- Develop tailored workforce strategies for the diverse industries that rely on H-2B labor landscaping, hospitality, seafood and food processing, construction, amusement, and more
- Own H-2B case strategy across a high volume of diverse, time-sensitive casework
- Advise clients on cap timing, filing windows, seasonality, and the program’s unique restrictions
- Lead the firm’s response when cases are denied, pushed back, issued RFEs, or audited and win them
- Drive growth: bring and build a book of business, with a target of roughly 100 new clients per year
- Partner closely with account management and sales to convert program expertise into revenue
- Represent the firm in industry associations and seasonal-workforce advocacy efforts
What You Bring
- J.D. and active bar membership in good standing
- 10 years of hands-on H-2B and H-2A experience deeply versed in both programs
- A proven track record of designing and executing employer workforce strategy
- Existing professional network and strong client relationships are highly valued
- Command of program timing, seasonality, and the unique restrictions that govern H-2B
- Demonstrated success handling denials, RFEs, appeals, and DOL / USCIS audits
- Strong sales instincts and genuine business development drive
- A confident, persuasive communicator whom clients trust and follow
- Demonstrated involvement in H-2B / seasonal workforce industry associations such as the Seasonal Employment Alliance (SEA/CSEA/ETC) (Required)
Preferred (Nice to Have)
- An active leadership role or ongoing engagement within industry associations (SEA / CSEA/ETC)
- Membership in the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA)
- Established relationships across multiple H-2B-reliant industries
Why Join ULS
• Be part of a mission-driven, attorney-led organization transforming workforce immigration
• Work on complex, high-impact immigration strategies at scale
• Collaborate with a team that blends legal expertise with business insight
• Opportunity to shape and lead the future of seasonal to permanent workforce solutions
Compensation & Growth
This is a build-and-own opportunity with uncapped upside. You’ll receive a competitive base salary plus a percentage of the division you grow structured so that as the practice scales toward $6M–$12M in revenue, your earnings scale with it.
Base salary: $150,000–$200,000 Percentage of the H-2B division (up to ~40% of a $6M–$12M practice)
Salary : $150,000 - $200,000
