We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide personalized care and assistance to an individual in a private home setting in Ocala, Florida. The ideal candidate will be committed to maintaining the individual's comfort, dignity, safety, and independence while providing quality care and support with daily living activities.
Responsibilities
- Assist with personal hygiene, bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Provide assistance with mobility, walking, transfers, and positioning as needed.
- Assist with meal preparation and encourage proper hydration.
- Provide toileting and incontinence care as needed.
- Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and other household tasks related to the individual's care.
- Offer companionship, emotional support, and meaningful interaction.
- Provide medication reminders as permitted by the care plan and applicable regulations.
- Monitor and report changes in the individual's condition or well-being.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment.
- Follow the established care plan and protect the individual's privacy and confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Previous caregiving, PCA, HHA, or home care experience preferred.
- Compassionate, patient, dependable, and professional.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and provide care according to an established care plan.
- Ability to assist with physical care duties as required.
- Must meet applicable background screening and employment requirements.
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred; required if applicable to the position.
Work Location
Private residence in Ocala, Florida. This position requires providing care in a home setting.
