What you’ll do
- Provide assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences.
- Maintain a clean and organized living space through regular cleaning and household management.
- Monitor clients’ health by taking vital signs and observing any changes in their condition.
- Support clients with mobility needs, including the use of equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans.
Basic qualifications
- Experience in home health or caregiving settings, particularly with seniors or individuals with disabilities.
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR techniques to ensure client safety.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for patient support.
Preferred qualifications
- Previous experience in group home settings or nursing homes.
- Background in social work or direct support for individuals with developmental disabilities or autism.
- Understanding of hospice care principles and long-term care experience.
