Freight Sales Representative (Entry Level)About the RoleWe are hiring a Freight Sales Representative to generate new business and develop into a full-cycle freight seller. This is an entry-level, high-activity sales role where you will own the early and middle stages of the sales process and gradually take opportunities through close with the support of senior sales executives.You will learn the transportation industry from the ground up while building experience across truckload, LTL, consolidation, and brokerage solutions.Role Responsibilities:Research & PreparationResearch target industries, accounts, and ideal customer profilesUnderstand market conditions, shipping challenges, and UC Group’s competitive positioningPrepare outreach messaging and call plansProspecting & Lead GenerationProspect new shipping opportunities through cold calling, email outreach, referrals, and networkingMake a high volume of outbound calls and emails dailyBuild and manage your own pipeline of opportunitiesTrack all activity in Salesforce or another CRMLead QualificationConduct initial discovery conversations to assess budget, authority, need, and timelineQualify opportunities before advancing themConvert leads into sales-accepted opportunities with legitimate pricing eventsDiscovery & Needs AssessmentRun discovery calls to understand shipping lanes, volumes, service expectations, and pain pointsAlign customer needs with the appropriate truckload, LTL, or consolidation solutionsWhat We’re Looking ForStrong communication skills and confidence on the phoneCompetitive, resilient, and goal-oriented mindsetHighly organized with strong time management skillsComfortable working in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environmentSales or customer service experience preferred, but not requiredBachelor’s degree preferredCompensation & GrowthBase salary: $50,000–$65,000Uncapped commission tied to revenueClear path for promotion into a Freight Sales Executive roleIf you’re looking to build a career in freight sales and want hands-on training, clear growth opportunities, and uncapped earning potential, we’d love to hear from you.
