Summary

The Manager of Events and Strategic Impact leads the planning, execution, and evaluation of events that advance organizational goals and strengthen stakeholder engagement. This role develops event strategies aligned with the organization's mission, manages cross-functional collaboration, oversees budgets and logistics, to maximize impact. The position also identifies opportunities to enhance partnerships, expand donor databases, strengthen relationships, and increase organizational revenue. 

 

Duties/Responsibilities
•    Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of all fundraising events, overseeing logistics, vendor management, budgets, timelines, and event evaluation
•    Serve as the primary liaison for the Young Professionals and Alumni affinity groups, fostering engagement, volunteer participation, and philanthropic support
•    Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with event sponsors donors, community organizations, corporate partners, and other key stakeholders to expand organizational impact
•    Develop, manage, and execute a comprehensive annual calendar of in-person, virtual, and hybrid events that support organizational goals and community engagement
•    Execute peer to peer fundraising events and campaigns and maintain accurate records of participant engagement, and performance metrics to evaluate effectiveness and identify event growth opportunities
•    Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team to develop integrated promotional strategies that increase event attendance, fundraising success, and community awareness
•    Participates in Institutional Advancement planning and strategy meetings, contributing to fundraising initiatives, organizational priorities, and the development and support of the Development Committee
•    Build and strengthen partnerships with external organizations, businesses, and community leaders to create collaborative programs, sponsorship opportunities, and shared initiatives
•    Monitor and evaluate event performance and fundraising outcomes, using data and feedback to recommend improvements and measure strategic impact
•    Ensure all events reflect the organization's mission, brand standards, and commitment to exceptional stakeholder experiences
•    Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards for quality, customer service, and fiscal responsibility
•    Identify new opportunities for community engagement, donor cultivation, sponsorship development, and strategic partnerships that advance the organization's mission

 

Education/Job Experience/Other Qualifications

•    Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Nonprofit Management, or a related field required
•    Three years of progressive experience in development event management, community engagement, or organizational development
•    Experience developing and managing budgets, contracts, vendor relationships, and event logistics 
•    Proven ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives that align with organizational goals and deliver measurable outcomes
•    Experience collecting, analyzing, and reporting data to evaluate event performance and organizational impact
•    Strong relationship-building skills with sponsors, donors, community partners, board members, and executive leadership
•    Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines
Required Skills/Abilities/Competencies

•    Proficiency with event management software, CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and project management tools
•    Strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills are required
•    Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
•    Strong computer skills including proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, web-based marketing, social media, and knowledge of GiveSmart preferred
•    Must be able to maintain confidentiality of donor information and other sensitive data
•    Self-motivated and directed with the ability to work autonomously, as well as part of a collaborative management team
•    Ability to effectively use various software packages for data analysis, communication, and report writing
•    Car and valid driver’s license and insurance required

Work Environment/Conditions:    

•    Hours vary depending on event and programming schedules. Some evenings and weekends are required
•    Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
•    Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
•    May include climbing stairs, walking, squatting, kneeling, or driving
