Duties

• Supervise daily activities in the dog daycare, ensuring all dogs are engaged, safe, and comfortable during playtime and rest periods
• Monitor canine behavior closely, recognizing signs of stress or discomfort and intervening appropriately using animal handling and restraint techniques
• Facilitate positive social interactions among dogs through supervised group play and training exercises
• Maintain a clean and sanitized environment by performing regular cleaning, sanitization of kennels, play areas, and equipment in accordance with pet care facility standards
• Assist with pet day camp, boarding services by providing attentive care, feeding, and exercise routines tailored to individual dogs’ needs
• Support pet grooming activities such as bathing or brushing when required to promote hygiene and comfort
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog’s behavior, health status, and special needs to ensure transparency and trust

Skills

• Proven experience in veterinary settings or as a veterinary technician or assistant, demonstrating animal health knowledge
• Hands-on pet sitting or kennel experience that highlights your ability to care for multiple animals simultaneously
• Skilled in dog training techniques and understanding animal behavior to promote good manners and socialization
• Strong animal handling skills including restraint techniques to ensure safety for both dogs and staff
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling supplies or assisting with outdoor work tasks like yard cleanup or equipment setup
• Excellent customer service skills to communicate clearly with pet owners and address their questions or concerns empathetically
• Knowledge of pet grooming practices and animal restraint methods to support overall pet well-being
• Experience in outdoor work environments such as walking dogs or maintaining outdoor play areas with attention to safety protocols
• Commitment to cleanliness through pet care facility sanitization practices that prevent the spread of germs and ensure a healthy environment
• Understanding of animal behavior patterns to recognize signs of stress, aggression or illness promptly

MUST BE COMFORTABLE WITH ALL BREEDS AND SIZES, MUST BE ABLE TO PREVENT DOG FIGHTS, MUST HAVE MORE EXPERIENCE THAN HAVING A DOG AT HOME. MUST BE COMFORTABLE WITH BATHING AND CUTTING NAILS. MUST HAVE COMMON SENSE AND UNDERSTAND TIME MANAGEMENT, CUSTOMER SERVICE AND BE HIGHLY EFFICIENT IN A FAST PACED ENVIRONMENT!
