EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
Performs a variety of management and supervisory functions. Oversees and manages all branch staff and personnel. Interviews prospective employees. Hires and/or recommends hiring. Coordinates, prioritizes, and assigns tasks and projects. Tracks and reviews work progress and process. Evaluates work progress. Creates and maintains a cross-selling environment within the branch. Recommends and/or undertakes subsequent performance related actions. Develops, recommends and/or implements corrective actions. Recommends and implements disciplinary actions up to and including suspension and/or termination.

Monitors branch activities including number of transactions, volume, teller errors, loan referrals and new accounts. Monitors key products and sales within branch to ensure sound business practices and a high quality of service. Identifies, reviews, assesses, oversees, and modifies and/or approves modifications of operational policies and procedures. Identifies and establishes protocols and processes. Recommends and implements changes to existing policies and procedures. Determines compliance. Identifies staffing, equipment, facilities, and related needs. Ensures security at all levels to include open/close of the branch facilities and cash machines.

Ensures the security and monitoring of cash and negotiable items and confidentiality of members’ information. Approves holds, large withdrawals and perform overrides on non-conforming transactions. Issues service fees when deemed appropriate. Orders and verifies cash received weekly.

Guides and manages branch facilities in providing quality service to members in account transactions and new accounts. Responds to member’s requests, concerns, problems, and complaints regarding their accounts. Communicates and conveys information to members. Identifies member’s needs and cross sells products. Evaluates and promotes products that may be beneficial to members. Responds to members questions in a timely fashion accurately and concisely.

Implements and follows strategies for serving and acquiring select employee groups (SEGs). Regularly visits SEGs to promote the credit union’s products and services and maintain a positive relationship. Assists with member inquiries about promotional and marketing programs for the growth of the credit union and members. Attends events to promote the credit union. Participates in community activities.

Performs a combination of correspondence related functions. Compiles information and routes to appropriate departments.

Performs other duties as assigned or required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS
:
  • Knowledge of applicable credit union rules, ordinances, codes, regulations, administrative orders, case law and other governing rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of the Credit Union’s policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of the principles of file and records management.
  • Knowledge of the principles of customer service.
  • Knowledge of UniWyo FCU teller procedures.
  • Skill in assessing and prioritizing multiple tasks, projects and demands.
  • Skill in working within deadlines to complete projects and assignments.
  • Skill in assessing, analyzing, identifying, and recommending solutions to problems.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relations with co-workers, other UniWyo FCU employees, representatives from other credit unions, public and/or others having business with UniWyo FCU.
  • Skill in operating a personal computer utilizing a variety of software and operating systems/applications.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A bachelor’s degree in banking, accounting, management, public relations, finance, or closely related field AND (3) years of relevant lending, banking, public relations, cashier, or closely related experience that includes management or supervision OR any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Additional Requirements:

Must be able to obtain and must maintain certification as notary for the State of Wyoming within six (6) months of employment.

Must be proficient in word processing and current spreadsheet software.

May be required to move and/or transport heavy, bulky supplies, materials and/or other items weighing up to 40 pounds.

May be exposed to potential physical harm and infectious diseases.

May be required to work outside the traditional work schedule.
