UniVida Medical Centers is seeking a professional and customer-focused Optician to join our growing healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist patients with eyewear selection, frame fitting, lens recommendations, and provide exceptional customer service while supporting our vision care department.
- Assist patients in selecting eyeglass frames and lenses.
- Measure and fit eyeglasses accurately.
- Educate patients on lens options and coatings.
- Adjust, repair, and maintain eyewear.
- Verify prescriptions and ensure accuracy of orders.
- Coordinate with optometrists and clinical staff.
- Maintain inventory and optical displays.
- Provide outstanding patient service.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Optician preferred.
- Knowledge of ophthalmic lenses, frames, and fittings.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- ABO Certification preferred.
- Experience working in a medical center or optical practice.
