As a Fitness Instructor you will work with patrons of the Hamel Recreation Center to reach their health and fitness goals. Depending on experience and certification type, this position works with clients one-on-one or teaches group fitness classes.
Duties/Responsibilities
Provide a safe and inclusive environment
Develop a fitness program aligned with either client or class goals
Teach or coach within certification scope of practice
Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience:
High school diploma Required Licenses & Certifications:
Fitness Certification such as NASM CPT, Keiser Cycling, AFFA Primary Group Exercise, or 200hr Yoga Teacher Training
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to create a fun, evidence based, and client centered fitness program
Ability to cue, coach, and correct exercises based on certification
Preferred Qualifications:
Fitness coaching experience
CPR and First Aid
