Program Director - Ingersoll Cornerstone (62099)

The Program Director will be responsible for the strategic oversight of programs and all day-to-day operations at one of these sites.  The program will provide academic support; artistic, athletic, and cultural enrichment; and opportunities for family involvement. The position requires a creative, energetic, team-building leader committed to providing the highest quality of programming for children and families. 

Responsibilities: 

• Set strategic direction and oversee programmatic development for after-school programs and services. 

• Manage all day-to-day site operations, ensuring smooth and efficient program delivery. 

• Maintain strict compliance with funder regulations and DOH SACC standards; remain knowledgeable of all regulatory requirements. 

• Supervise, support, and coach direct-service staff; foster a collaborative and productive team environment. 

• Conduct annual staff evaluations and ensure timely submission of appraisals to HR. 

• Lead recruitment and hiring processes, adhering to program and HR compliance protocols. 

• Maintain consistent communication with the supervisor regarding all programmatic matters and emerging issues. 

• Ensure accuracy in attendance and data reporting; maintain thorough, organized program files. 

• Develop and select curriculum aligned with the developmental needs of children in an after-school setting. 

• Coordinate and participate in high-quality, relevant staff training sessions to support professional growth. 

• Ensure adherence to all funding and regulatory guidelines; compile monthly program reports and other documentation as needed. 

• Oversee program expenses, collaborating with the Finance department to uphold proper fiscal procedures. 

• Work in partnership with Department of Education staff, school administrators, the parent association, and other community-based organizations to support and enhance school achievement. 

• Oversee facility usage, maintaining effective communication with custodians, security personnel, and cafeteria staff to support program needs. 

• Coordinate facility repairs and maintenance, working with custodial and external repair teams to ensure a safe, clean, and functional environment. 

• Collaborate with the supervisor to foster parent and family engagement through a parent advisory board, family workshops and events, and volunteer opportunities. 

• Engage in advocacy efforts related to after-school funding and community-impact campaigns. 

• Undertake additional duties as assigned by the supervisor to support program success and community impact. 

Qualifications: 

• Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required; a Master’s degree is strongly preferred. 

• Experience: Previous experience in an administrative role within an after-school or community-based program, with a track record in designing, implementing, and evaluating project-based programming. 

• Supervisory Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years supervising staff, with demonstrated leadership in guiding and developing teams. 

• Interpersonal and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, adept problem-solving, and crisis intervention abilities. 

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly in Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. 

• Creativity and Initiative: Proven ability to think creatively, inspire enthusiasm, and develop high-quality programs. Strong initiative, vision, and drive are essential. 

• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including effective presentation abilities. 

• Teamwork and Independence: Ability to work both independently and as a collaborative member of the management team. 

• Youth Development Competence: Solid background in youth development, including skills that foster growth and engagement in young people. 

Work Schedule: Full time, Monday - Friday, 12:00pm - 8:00pm, some weekends required, 35 hours per week

Salary : $68,000 - $72,000
