University Radiology Group is seeking a Full-time, Pre-Authorization Coordinator for our East Brunswick, NJ Business Office.
Monday - Friday 830 AM to 500 PM
- Work closely with any referring physicians and payers to ensure authorization for the patients scheduled procedure is obtained prior to his/her appointment
- Talk to patients and inform them on
- Instructions for the procedure
- Documentation required on the day of the exam
- Discuss financial responsibility
- Collect payment
- Set up payment plan
- Document the patient’s electronic record with notes regarding the conversation
- Provide excellent customer service to Physician Referral Organizations, internal team members and patients
- Responsible for verification and investigation of pre-authorization, authorization, and referral requirements for services.
- Working in high call volume comfortably
- Understanding of the Revenue Cycle and the impact Pre-registration has within the Cycle.
- Knowledge of CPT, ICD9, ICD10 and insurance contracts/reimbursement required
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- 1 year of insurance verification required
- Great computer skills
- Excellent time management skills
