Position Summary
This is a remote work opportunity. The EDI Specialist is responsible for ensuring client success by managing electronic billing data and setup. Excellent teamwork and a client-focused approach are a must.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor interface and claims activity. Contact appropriate parties within 24 hours if a disruption in service occurs.
- Ensure correct setup of insurance plans in the billing system and claims clearinghouse.
- Ensure correct setup of referring and rendering providers in the billing system.
- Research and resolve claim errors and rejections resulting from incomplete or incorrect information received.
- Ensure timely and accurate responses to client and cross-team inquiries.
Experience and Qualifications
Required:
- Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Teams, Word, and Excel
- Superior communication, problem-solving, and follow-up skills
- Minimum 1 year experience in medical billing - claims and/or insurance setup
Preferred:
- AA/AS in Medical Billing and Coding
- Prior EDI Experience

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
