As a University Police Officer, you will perform full-service law enforcement duties across multiple campuses and surrounding areas, including:
- Patrol and protection of university communities
- Criminal and non-criminal investigations
- Traffic enforcement and collision investigations
- Event safety and large-scale campus operations
- Community engagement with students, faculty, and staff
- Report writing and court appearances
You’ll be part of a proactive, service-oriented policing model that emphasizes visibility, prevention, and relationship-building.

We are seeking candidates who:

- High school diploma (or equivalent)
- Experience in public-facing roles applying rules, policies, or procedures
- Ability to meet Nevada POST requirements and complete academy/field training
- Prior law enforcement experience or eligibility for reciprocity
- OR relevant education and law enforcement experience combination
- Ability to meet Nevada POST Category I requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Successful background investigation, psychological evaluation, and possible polygraph
- Ability to pass required physical fitness testing
- Compliance with Nevada peace officer standards
- Police Officer I: Range $68,590-101K
- Police Officer II: Range Approximately $81,578 – $122,419 (based on experience)
