Description
University Physicians' Association is seeking an experienced full-time Radiologic Technologists (RAD Tech) for University Anesthesiologists, a fast-paced, high-volume medical practice. This position will educate and position our patients to obtain a diagnostic image in accordance with the physician's order.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Performs radiographic procedures as prescribed by a physician. *
- Operates DR equipment. *
- Determines proper technique through the selection of voltage, current, and exposure time.
- Positions patients for the proper view of the affected area.
- Instructs patients as to the proper physiological requirements for the procedure.
- Maintains technique charts in compliance with state law.
- Complies with infection control procedures.
- Assist with radiology appropriate use criteria, radiology referrals, and prior authorizations.
- Ability to maintain patience and composure when faced with challenging situations.
- Outstanding customer service skills towards patients and team members.

Requirements
Minimum 1-year relevant imaging experience; preferred not required.
Required:
- Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
- Current TN Medical X-ray Operators License in MD office: Full certification
- Knowledge of radiographic equipment DR and PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication Systems)
