Clinical Operations and EMR technical Coordinator (2–5 Year Experience)
University Pain Centers is seeking motivated, detail-oriented professionals committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care using technology and AI. This role is ideal for individuals who have a technical background or who have experience improving workflows using technology and AI.
This position includes responsibilities across both our Westchester and Chicago locations and requires the ability to travel between sites as needed.
As a Clinic Operations and EMR technology Coordinator, you will work hand in hand with the technology and business strategy team to exceed patient experience. This role will involve basic clinic duties including making appointments, and assist with patient check-in using the Healow patient portal, Digital Fax, AI and other digital tools. This role requires strong comfort and interest in technology, the ability to learn systems quickly, and the ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is organized, tech-comfortable, and eager to grow in a busy pain management clinic.
We are looking for a minimum of 18 months commitment.
What You’ll Do
- Accurately enter and update new patient information in the EMR system in real time
- Use the eCW Healow patient portal and other digital tools to continuously improve patient communication and appointment management
- Verify insurance and assist with prior authorizations (training provided)
- Register new patients and update EMR records using AI and advanced capabilities within the EMR tool.
- Manage a high volume of AI transcribed calls and assist with workflow improvement
- Collaborate with clinical staff using shared digital workflows to ensure efficient patient flow
- Assist with rooming patients and documenting vitals in EMR (as needed)
- Travel to Chicago location as needed
- Assist with special projects assigned by the Practice Administrator and Business strategy team.
What You Bring
- Education: High school diploma required; some college preferred
- Experience: 2–5 years in technical support with patient facing experience (healthcare setting preferred)
Skills:
- Experience with eClinicalworks is strongly preferred
- Strong communication skills (in person and over the phone)
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy environment
- Familiarity with basic insurance processes (we’ll train you)
- Ability to independently troubleshoot technical issues
- Reliable, professional, and confidentiality-focused
