JOB TITLE:
Hourly Pooled- Shipping & Receiving Assistant
JOB PURPOSE:
Assist Shipping & Receiving Department in terms of outgoing and incoming freight, packages, and mail
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist delivering and pick up of freight, packages, and mail on campus. Assist with preparing outgoing shipments.
SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS:
Other warehouse duties as needed (sweeping, organizing, etc.)
COMPETENCIES:
Attention to detail
Customer service orientated
Safety conscious
Able to lift 50 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Comfortable with computer usage.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school degree or equivalent GED
Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) compliant with the
Driving for University Business SAP
.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Shipping & receiving experience
Able to lift 50 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation
Competent ability with verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in-person and over the phone
Knowledge of UPS, FedEx, and USPS shipping systems (creating labels for outgoing packages)
Basic computer skills, including most Microsoft programs
Ability to drive larger delivery vehicle in tight campus locations
