student-focused professional to serve as a resource for students,
faculty, and staff while supporting student success initiatives within
the Wright Center. Under the supervision of the Wright Center
Coordinator, the Non-Traditional and Military-Connected Student
Retention Specialist oversees retention and transfer efforts for
students who may be at risk of failing, withdrawing, or transferring to
another institution or program. The position provides guidance,
outreach, and support services designed to promote student persistence
and academic success. The Wright Center is committed to supporting
military-connected students, veterans, and adult learners, and seeks
candidates who can effectively engage and support these student
populations. In addition, this role serves as an additional School
Certifying Official for military-connected education benefits. This is a
full-time, benefit-eligible position with an annual salary of \$46,000.
Key Job Responsibilities: Partner with academic advisors, faculty,
staff, students, and administrative personnel to identify risk
indicators and support data-informed retention and transfer strategies.
Monitor and support student academic progress through outreach,
individualized success planning, and student-focused programming.
Communicate regularly with students, provide guidance and referrals to
appropriate campus resources, and monitor student progress toward
academic success. Advocate for and contribute to campus-wide retention
initiatives and recommend strategies to improve student persistence and
engagement. Maintain accurate student records, including contact logs,
case notes, and related documentation. Ensure compliance with
established operational procedures, university policies, program
requirements, and applicable federal regulations. May assist students
with FAFSA completion and provide general financial aid and scholarship
