Event Set-up Lead - 1st Shift

This frontline position is responsible for coordinating and executing event setups for conferences, meetings, and other special events at Union South. The Event Setup Lead will guide and training student workers. Based on need ensure the smooth execution of events. Exceptional customer service is a cornerstone of this position. Additionally, the role involves stocking supplies and organizing storage closets, this position may occasionally support events in additional buildings.

Schedule:

Sunday - Thursday 6:45am - 3:15pm

Compensation:

Wage is $18.00 per hour

$.80 added for differential Weekend pay for work performed on Saturday and Sunday..

2.50 added for differential night pay, for work performed between 6pm-6am.

Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Assists with scheduling logistics and securing resources for vendor services
  • Gathers, enters, and maintains accurate event data and records
  • Assists with the creation of promotional materials and resources for events
  • Guides and trains student workers
  • Performs on-site event set-up and clean up and may perform basic custodial duties
  • Greets customers/guests, assists with registration, answers questions, and provides routine information, referring more complicates issues to appropriate entities

Wage is $18.00 per hour

Required Qualifications:

- Ability to walk, stand, lift, carry, bend, stoop and climb for the majority of the shift,

including extended periods of continuous physical activities with to without an accommodation.

- Ability to lift and move supplies, equipment and material regularly up to 50 lbs. and

occasionally up to 100 lbs. with or without an accommodation.

- Ability to move, push and stack furniture regularly, often in excess of 100 lbs. with or

without an accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications: Education:

High School Diploma - Preferred
