We are currently accepting applications for a Community Service Worker I
position in the Street Maintenance Division. Utilizing a working
knowledge of light automotive, heavy construction, and mechanized
equipment, this position operates equipment and performs a variety of
labor-intensive manual work pertaining to the maintenance of roads,
bridges, and their appurtenances. Duties also include removal of snow
and ice from streets and sidewalks, excavating, mowing, brush cutting,
weed trimming, compressor, and jack hammer operation, crack sealing,
spray patching, catch basin cleaning, asphalt paving, concrete work, and

removal and other emergency operations Possess or obtain (within six
months of hire) and maintain a valid Class B CDL with no air brake
restrictions Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in
street/highway construction, general construction including patching of
asphalt/concrete, working with tools involved in street
repairs/construction, operating heavy equipment, and/or snow removal
