Salary: $24.00 - $30.00Position Title:Financial Aid AdministratorType:Part-TimeCategory:Financial AidSummaryUnder the immediate supervision of theDirector of Financial Aid, the Financial Aid Administrator works within all aspects of financial aid, ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and Institutional rules and regulations, with a strong emphasis on communication and customer service.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesCounsel students regarding eligibility and available aid options, application procedures, and cost of attendance.Guide students on minimizing debt through money management and financial planning, tailoring information to individual needs.Respond to inquiries from students via phone, in person, virtually, or email.Calculate and package financial aid awards based on student classification and budget.Validate eligibility for federal, institutional, and other types of aid.Perform verification and other compliance monitoring as required by federal regulations and institutional policies.Document external grants and scholarships.Manage ISIR data, including processing corrections and updates through the FAFSA Partner Portal or other systems.Assist with packaging students via the third-party system,Global.Troubleshoot and resolve loan issues using Global, COD, and NSLDS.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal systems such as COD, CPS, and NSLDS.Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and institutional policies and regulations.Repackage aid and process loan revisions/refunds due to changes in awards or enrollment.Notify students of changes in eligibility or award amounts.Assist with calculations and prepare refund requisitions for students, lenders, or servicers.Assist in updating financial aid publications, applications, forms, policies, catalogs, and website content.Collaborate effectively with other departments and contribute as a productive team member.Other Duties:Assist with various projects and other duties as assigned.QualificationsEducation and Experience:Bachelors degree required.Minimum of two (2) years of experience in higher education, preferably in student financial aid or a similar administrative position.Computer Skills:Intermediate to advanced proficiency inMicrosoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Share Drive.Working knowledge ofCampus CafandGlobal Saint Directorsystems preferred.Familiarity withU.S. Department of Education systems(COD, Partner Portal, NSLDS, etc.) required.
