UW Medical Center–Northwest has an outstanding opportunity for an Assistant Nurse Manager/RN3 to join us in our Main Operating Room.

WORK SCHEDULE:

  • Full time
  • Hours are 0800-1830
  • 40 hours/week

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
Provides professional nursing care while supporting daily operations and team leadership within the unit. Serves as a clinical resource, supports staff development, and partners with the Nurse Manager to maintain safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.


PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver safe, high-quality patient care (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)
  • Coordinate care across departments to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Serve as a clinical resource and role model for nursing staff
  • Support staff education, onboarding, and ongoing competency development
  • Assist with daily operations, including patient flow and staffing coordination
  • Promote effective communication among patients, families, and care team
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain standards of care
  • Provide guidance, feedback, and support to team members
  • Serve as charge nurse as assigned and participate in committees as needed
  • Assist with unit goals, program development, and process improvements

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current Washington State Registered Nurse license or valid Multistate license.
  • Surgical Scrub experience strongly preferred
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), Masters Preferred
  • Minimum of two years of professional surgical nursing experience or equivalent education/experience.
  • Demonstrated experience as an Operating Room registered nurse, with proficiency in perioperative nursing practice

Compensation, Benefits and Position Details

Pay Range Minimum:

$49.23 hourly

Pay Range Maximum:

$90.33 hourly

Other Compensation:

$1.25/hr Nursing Certification $5.00/hr nights $4.00/hr weekends $3.00/hr evening shift $1.00/hr BSN
