WORK SCHEDULE

36 hours per week

3x12 shift schedule

Night shifts (7:30pm-7:30am)

Rotating weekend shifts required

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
Our Surgical Unit is a 22-bed unit that cares for a variety of general surgery patients. Our services range from appendectomies to complex bowel resections to hernia repairs. Our unit is fast paced, and we are proud to hold some of the highest admission-discharge-transfer (ADT) rates in our hospital. This is a great opportunity to lead a dynamic floor that always puts their patients first.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide post-op and telemetry monitoring for patients receiving minor inpatient surgeries

Manage complex health issues that might arise during surgery

Monitor and administer medications and IVs

Work alongside doctors, surgeons, and care managers

Follow evidence-based nursing practices

REQUIREMENTS

Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State
