M-F 8:00am - 4:30pm
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:
The Orthopedic Trauma and Fracture Clinic specializes in the comprehensive management of musculoskeletal injuries, with a primary focus on acute and complex fractures, and dislocations. Our multidisciplinary team of orthopedic trauma surgeons, nurses, medical assistants and ortho techs provides expert care to patients with traumatic injuries resulting from accidents, falls, or high-impact events.
Our clinic offers both surgical and non-surgical treatments tailored to each patient’s specific condition. Services include fracture reduction and fixation, post-operative care, follow-up imaging, and physical therapy coordination. We also manage complications such as non-unions, malunions, and infections associated with previous injuries.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Utilize the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation) to prescribe, prioritize, delegate, coordinate and provide safe, therapeutic nursing care to patients/families.
Make independent judgments/decisions and takes action regarding a wide range of routine and complex patient problems and situations.
Collaborate with other disciplines as appropriate to coordinate continuity of patient care.
As assigned by the AACS clinic practice manager and/or RN3, could assume the responsibility of charge nurse.
Participate in clinic and selected divisional activities to promote delivery, problem solving and communication and continued professional development for self and others.
REQUIREMENTS:
Active, valid Washington State or Multi-state RN license required by start date.
Two years of professional nursing experience, preferably orthopedic.
