UW Medical Center - Montlake has an outstanding opportunity for ICU Nurse Residency/Transition to Practice. This ICU Residency/Transition to Practice will be with Montlake’s four ICU Departments and will commence May 5, 2025. You must have an Active WA RN license no later than April 28, 2025 to be eligible .
SCHEDULE
90% FTE. Night and variable shifts.
Listed below are the four hiring ICU Departments accepting applications for these opportunities:
Surgical ICU ~ This is a 14 bed unit. Patient population includes direct recovery for ICU surgical cases and liver transplants.
CCU ICU is a 17 bed unit. Patient population includes all cardiology patients and Mitraclip patients, heart failure and post MI cardiology patients.
Medical ICU . This is a 24 bed unit. Patient population on this unit includes medical ICU cases and Bone Marrow Transplant.
Cardiothoracic ICU ~ This is a 24 bed unit. Patient population includes cardiac and thoracic surgery patients, vascular, heart and lung transplant, MCS, VV, ECLS, and TAVR.
REQUIREMENTS
Candidates for this opportunity have at least two years of registered nursing experience in an acute care environment. If nursing resident, must have ICU Senior Practicum experience, ICU Clinicals, or have worked in an ICU Department in another health care provider role, i.e., PCT, MA, Health Unit Coordinator. BLS and ACLS within six months of hire.
