Job Description Summary

The Department of Psychology has an outstanding opportunity for a full-time (100% FTE) Research Study Coordinator 1. The Research Study Coordinator will coordinate the operations of the Language, Cognition, and Development Lab, which studies interactions between language, memory, and conceptual development in infants, children, and adults. The desired start date is June 15, 2026, with some flexibility. This is a one-year appointment with the possibility of extending up to an additional 12 months contingent on continued funding.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinating data collection and subject recruitment

  • Recruiting, interviewing and screening potential subjects and determining eligibility according to approved protocol

  • Designing and running behavioral and eye tracking studies with infants, children, and adults

  • Developing and maintaining administration systems

  • Overseeing undergraduate research assistants

  • Maintaining study protocols and communicating with the Institutional Review Board

  • Contributing to research reports, proposals, and presentations

Minimum Requirements

  • Two years of college level course work in a relevant academic area AND two years of experience as a Research Study Assistant OR equivalent education/experience.

Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.

Additional Requirements

  • Previous experience with children

  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, cognitive science, or related field

  • Experience with computer programming (e.g.,Python, PsychoPy, R), eye tracking, web design, and/or video editing

Compensation, Benefits and Position Details

Pay Range Minimum:

$45,288.00 annual

Pay Range Maximum:

$56,124.00 annual
