The Paralegal and Legal Operations Specialist supports the Office of General Counsel (OGC) in a position that requires traditional paralegal and legal operations expertise. This role is essential to the efficient and effective delivery of legal services across UVM Health. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, technologically adept, and committed to continuous process improvement.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree required.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a paralegal or legal operations role, preferably in a regulated industry.
KNOWLEDGE/SPECIAL SKILLS
- Advanced proficiency with legal technology platforms (e.g., OnBase/Hyland, Legal Tracker, Westlaw CoCounsel), including design and administration of legal assistance intake processes, matter workflows, and operational process flows.
- Strong aptitude for Artificial Intelligence tools, with the ability to stay current in a rapidly evolving AI landscape and apply AI responsibly to improve legal intake, triage, tracking, and operational efficiency.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills, supporting effective issue triage, documentation, and crossfunctional collaboration.
- Proven ability to handle confidential and privileged information with the highest level of discretion and professionalism.
