The Department of Medicine has initiated a search for a faculty position at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor level (Clinical Scholar Pathway) in the Division of Hematology/Oncology.

We are seeking a hematologist/medical oncologist to join the clinical team of hematology/oncology physicians caring for patients primarily at the Central Vermont Medical Center (CVMC) campus of the UVM Health network. The focus of the role will include clinical care for general medical oncology and hematology patients. Applicants must be clinically qualified to care for patients in the broad discipline of oncology and hematology and provide coverage for patients over nights and weekends as needed. Applicants must be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Vermont and New York, for hospital privileges at the UVM Health network, and academic appointment at UVM.

This position affords 10% protected time for scholarly activity including enrollment of patients on clinical research trials through the University of Vermont Cancer Center (UVMCC). This position has the opportunity for an important role in shaping the delivery of medical oncology and hematology care at the CVMC UVMH site which serves as a hub for rural care delivery in central Vermont. The successful candidate will also participate in appropriate Department of Medicine, Larner College of Medicine and University of Vermont Cancer Center committees and functions, and serve in an academic advisory capacity to medical students, medical residents and Hematology/Oncology fellows.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to UVM's mission and advancing Our Common Ground values through their teaching, service, research, scholarship, or creative arts.
