What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr Practicum to Graduate Nurse Pipeline Program position at University of Vermont Health - UVM Medical Center?
During this program, the nursing student will commit to completing their Senior Practicum on a designated floor. Upon successful completion of their Senior Practicum, and after taking the NCLEX and becoming licensed as an RN, the student will transition into a Staff Nurse I role on that floor.
This program is available to UVM, Norwich and VTSU Castleton senior nursing students.
Start dates below are not able to be amended, due to training and orientation.

Staff Nurse I Job Description:
Provides entry level professional nursing care to patients in varying states of health and illness. Working closely with the preceptor during the initial orientation period, the Staff Nurse I functions as an essential member of nursing and multidisciplinary teams providing direct care to patients and families, teaching, and preparation for continuing care after discharge.
