Customer Service Coordinator - Supply Chain

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Customer Service Coordinator - Supply Chain provides customer support across all of the Supply Chain departments, and is based at the Main Campus location. They will be primary point of contact for supply chain issues, emergent needs, coordination and questions. This includes, but not limited to, staffing the main campus customer service desk, answering the telephone, taking orders, managing all external shipments, providing pricing, coordinating and monitoring external courier activities including direction courier activity/assigning courier tasks and working with various departments to resolve any supply issues. The individual in this position will be responsible for tracking and triaging issues and actions, ensuring prompt and satisfactory resolution, and identifying and communicating systemic pattern issues for resolution. This position also performs traditional administrative functions to facilitate the efficient operation throughout supply chain including coordination and direction of staff to address any potential immediate needs.

EDUCATION:

Associates Degree or equivalent or equivalent business experience.

EXPERIENCE:

Previous customer service experience and employment in an office environment sufficient to demonstrate advanced administrative support skills. Understanding of Inventorying and some Buyer skills.

Knowledge of UPS Worldship, Fed Ex Ship Manager, Premier Connect, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

Knowledge/Special Skills:

Must possess good verbal and written communication skills, including editing, sound grammar, spelling, and punctuation abilities along with basic competency in mathematics. The ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work with frequent interruption in a busy office environment is required. Successful applicants will have a customer service orientation, and the ability to communicate and listen effectively. Experience with Microsoft Windows applications such as Outlook, Excel, and Word is required. Keyboarding skills in excess of 50 WPM are essential. Must be able to operate standard office equipment such as fax machines, calculators, and copiers.
