No VP Area Academic Affairs Department 00296 - Registrar's Office Location Campus City Salt Lake City, UT Type of Recruitment External Posting Pay Rate Range 14.00 Close Date 04/18/2026 Priority Review Date (Note - Posting may close at any time) Job Summary The Transfer Articulation Student Employee provides critical support to the Office of the Registrar by assisting with the evaluation and processing of transfer credit. This position plays an important role in ensuring students receive timely and accurate articulation of their coursework. Student employees will contribute to a team-oriented environment that values accuracy, efficiency, and student service.Responsibilities
- Assist with data entry and record maintenance in the University’s transfer credit systems.
- Support the evaluation of domestic and international transfer credit by organizing, reviewing, and processing incoming transcripts.
- Collaborate with office staff to input and update transfer course equivalencies.
- Respond to basic inquiries from students, advisors, and campus stakeholders about the transfer credit process.
- Help maintain accurate documentation and training resources related to transfer articulation.
- Participate in ongoing quality checks to ensure data accuracy.
- Maintain confidentiality in compliance with FERPA and institutional policies.
- Assist with special projects and general administrative duties as assigned.
- Support students via email, phone and in-person inquiries as needed.
- University of Utah Student that has been awarded/accepted Federal Work-Study for the current year
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with or ability to learn data systems and office software
Preferences
- Experience in customer service or administrative support.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Interest in higher education, transfer processes, or student services.
- Familiarity with student records systems (e.g., PeopleSoft) or transfer evaluation tools (e.g., TES , Transferology) is a plus.
This position may require the successful completion of a criminal background check and/or drug screen.
