Job Summary
The Hwang Laboratory in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of Utah is seeking to hire a Research Technician. We are looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented and outgoing scientist able to work under the supervision of the PI and Research Scientist to conduct research projects.

Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
The Research Technician will carry out laboratory experiments, analyze data, and summarize results under the supervision of the PI. Techniques involved will include micro dissection, microscopy, and image processing. They will also be responsible for managing the mouse colony by breeding and genotyping.
Minimum Qualifications
EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT :
1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor’s degree = 4 years of directly related work experience).
Department may hire employee at one of the following job levels:
Research Technician, I:
Requires little to no related experience.
Research Technician, II:
Requires at least 1 year of related experience.
Research Technician, III :
Requires 3 years of related experience.
