Job Summary
The Front Desk Clerk greets guests, checks guests in/out of the hotel and assists guests with problems or concerns. May also work in Reservations when needed, assisting guests with reserving rooms, as well as aiding in the Breakfast department when needed. This position requires a background check, paid for by the department. A free public transportation pass is included with employment.
The department may choose to hire at any of the below job levels and associated pay rates based on their business need and budget.
Responsibilities
The Front Desk Clerk:
Works at the front desk of the hotel, checking guests in/out, and assisting them with problems or concerns.
Takes payments in cash or credit card.
Answers phones and takes reservations, entering into the reservation program.
Assists with breakfasts as needed.
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT : 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor’s degree = 4 years of directly related work experience).
Department may hire employee at one of the following job levels:
Office Services Clerk, I: Requires little to no related experience.
Office Services Clerk, II: Requires at least 1 year of related experience.
