Job Summary
The College of Pharmacy seeks a Social Networking and Digital Media Specialist to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to develop and maintain the college’s online social networking and digital media accounts to help achieve marketing goals. The position will create content for social media outlets and other digital media distribution.
Responsibilities
Essential duties include:
EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT : 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor’s degree = 4 years of directly related work experience).
Department may hire employee at one of the following job levels:
Social Networking & Digital Media Specialist, I: Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) 2 years of directly related work experience or a master’s (or equivalency) degree.
Social Networking & Digital Media Specialist, II: Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) 4 years or a master’s (or equivalency) 2 years of directly related work experience.

- Event attendance (outside & during business hours) with content capture
- PharmD White Coat ceremony, Graduation, banquets, research retreats, Pharmacy Day on Capitol Hill, Golf Tournament, pharmacy club events, Orientation, professional headshots for faculty/staff/students, etc.
- Photography and videography capture, preparation, and delivery
- Social media management including trend research and execution, proactive and reactive content creation, and engagement/audience reporting
- Assist with designing, posting, and maintaining digital display board content around the college building
- Creative design and resource for digital content
