Salary Range: Up to $75,000/Annualized, commensurate with education, experience and qualifications.

Hours: 40 hours per week, exempt.

Essential Functions

Job Summary

This is a grant-funded position dependent on availability of funds and departmental needs.

Special Research Associate for Employ 210.

Core Responsibilities
  • Conducts intake meetings with project participants and coordinate participant progression through the project.
  • Consults with and assists key members of project staff in solving specific problems encountered by project members.
  • Leads data collection and data analysis for project participants.
  • Consults with the team regarding plans for research designs and the development of instrumentation for data collection.
  • Participates in the interpretation of project findings and in the preparation of reports to the project directors.
  • Supervises project staff in direct implementation of project activities.
  • Directly implements project activities.
  • Evaluates the work of junior project staff.
  • Attend meetings related to the ongoing project.
  • Visit community partner sites and develop job blueprints.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • A Master of Science in behavior analysis with clinical and research experience.
    • Must have Board-Certified Behavior Analyst certification.
  • At least one (1) year of experience in implementing behavioral skills training.
  • At least one (1) year of experience working with adolescent or adult clients.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing.
  • Demonstrated independent decision-making and problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UTSA and its infrastructure.

Working Conditions

Working Environment:
  • Office environment.
  • Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions, or other business-related events.
  • Occasional after-hours and weekend work or overtime may be required.

Physical Demands:
  • Strength: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to lift and carry clients with adaptive equipment.
  • Mobility: Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing) for extended periods of time. Must be able to sit on the floor or stand for extended period of time.
  • Fine Motor: Must have manual dexterity to perform specific computer and electronic device functions for data collection.
  • Hearing: Must be able to receive detailed information through oral communication.
  • Vision: Must have visual acuity to read and comprehend written communication through computer, electronic devices, and paper means.

This position will be primarily located on campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility.
