Job Summary
The Program Manager oversees a portfolio of related projects, coordinating them to ensure they align with the department's long-term strategic goals, budget, and timelines. This role defines program strategies, monitors project timelines, allocates resources, and mitigates risks to achieve organizational objectives. They act as a central liaison between project teams, stakeholders, and executives to ensure successful, high-quality program delivery.
Core Responsibilities
- Responsible for scheduling, planning, coordinating, and administering major programs. Develops goals and operational procedures for the department. Develops and manages a program plan that aligns with the department's goals.
- Undergraduate student support including meeting with at risk students, tracking academic progress, and organizing events for career exposure.
- Organizing recruitment and other events including student orientations, graduation events, and managing marketing efforts to attract prospective students.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for stakeholders and senior leadership, providing regular updates on program progress, KPIs, and performance.
- Identifies potential issues, analyzes impacts, and develops contingency plans.
- Analyzes data to assess program effectiveness and draft comprehensive reports for senior leadership and provides recommendations.
- Leads a team to ensure efficient processes and workflows meet the department's strategic objectives.
- Collaborates with other university departments, special groups, and external agencies to coordinate resources and communicate/market programs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- One (1) year of related work experience.
- This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.

Working Conditions
- Office environment. Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions, or other business-related events. Workdays, areas, and work hours may vary depending on the department's needs.
Physical Demands
- Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required, only occasionally. Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally.
This position will work primarily on campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility.
