What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Dimensions of Organizations - 2022-23 Non-Tenure Track Faculty Pool position at University of Texas at Austin?
Human Dimensions of Organizations (HDO) in the College of Liberal Arts at The University of Texas at Austin teaches students to apply lessons from the humanities and social/behavioral sciences in workplace contexts. HDO offers a BA, an MA, and professional training. HDO offers a unique opportunity to create innovative coursework and teach courses on the cutting-edge of liberal-arts pedagogy.
HDO seeks to develop a pool of candidates for possible temporary/non-tenure track positions to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses. Positions are not available every semester and are contingent upon student enrollment and the availability of funding. Appointments are normally made on a semester-by-semester basis, though sometimes a yearlong appointment may be made. Positions are renewable annually, contingent upon funding and performance.
A PhD and a record of teaching excellence are preferred. Experience teaching and/or conducting research on the applied nature of the humanities and/or the social/behavioral sciences are also preferred.
