The University of Texas at Austin's Hildebrand Department of Petroleum and Geosystems Engineering (UT PGE) is a world leader in petroleum engineering research, education, training, and outreach. We seek applicants to fill a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of assistant professor and may also consider outstanding applicants for associate or full professor. A Ph.D. in petroleum engineering or a related discipline is required.
We are interested in candidates who specialize in areas that enable a sustainable, affordable, and secure energy supply. We are especially interested in candidates who will conduct research in the areas of improved hydrocarbon recovery, unconventional reservoirs, deep-water, numerical reservoir simulation, reservoir stimulation and produced water management.
