Position Summary:
HOSPITAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Rounding on hospital patients including writing pertinent progress notes and orders
- H&Ps and consults on hospital and transfer patients
- Pre-op patient education concerning surgery and expected outcomes
- Discharge summaries
- Discharge planning with patient education as to medications, activity and wound care
Outpatient Clinic responsibilities:
Performing H&Ps on new patients
Coordination of needed diagnostic evaluation
Follow-up patient evaluation and treatment
Writing hospital orders for planned admissions
Wound debridement, suture removal and dressing changes
Dictating letters to referring physicians concerning patient progress
Maintaining SVS quality database ensuring benchmarks are met
On call duties - occasional night phone call
Compliant with all regulatory standards such as TJC, OSHA, CMS, State of TN, etc.
Participation in performance improvement and quality projects as requested

Position Qualification:
Graudate from accredited Physician Assistant Program. Preferred 3-5 years experience as a Physicians Assistance, preference experience in vascular.
