Duties
- Greet patients warmly and professionally, providing exceptional customer service at the front desk
- Serves patients, clients, hospital departments and co-providers with an efficient and effective registration process with lead responsibility while encouraging a team effort. They answer phones and schedule patients for appointments.
- Verify insurance information
- Collect and review patient documentation, including medical history, insurance details, and prior authorization forms
- Maintain accurate medical records by filing documents electronically and physically; ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Support clinical staff by coordinating patient intake procedures and updating care plans as needed
Qualifications
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to handle sensitive information in accordance with HIPAA standards; attention to detail is essential
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
