Position Details
Reporting to the Director of Admissions, the Regional Recruiter will lead and manage all undergraduate recruitment efforts throughout the New England region. This position is based within New England and serves as a key representative of the University of Tampa in one of the institution's most strategically important out-of-state markets.
The Regional Recruiter will play a critical role in expanding the University's visibility, strengthening enrollment pipelines, increasing applications and yield, and cultivating long-term relationships with high schools, counselors, and prospective students throughout New England. The position requires a highly motivated admissions professional who can independently develop territory strategies, identify emerging market opportunities, and elevate the University's presence across the region.

Responsibilities:
- Recruit and provide college counseling, planning and advising to prospective freshmen and transfer students and their parents.
- Correspond with prospective students, parents, high school and college counselors, alumni and others via telephone, e-mail, and mail.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with high school counselors, independent counselors, community-based organizations, and educational partners throughout the region.
- Conduct presentations, school visits, college programs, and receptions.
- Conduct regional yield events, student receptions and counselor programs.
- Review and analyze student applications for admission.
- Analyze territory data and recruitment outcomes to evaluate effectiveness and guide strategic planning decisions.
- Serve as a market expert by monitoring regional demographic trends, competitor activity, enrollment patterns, and emerging opportunities affecting recruitment strategy.
- Attend annual on-campus training, year end wrap up, and at least one on-campus admissions event (Open House, Admitted Student Day) (has the ability to attend more).
- Contribute to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures and backgrounds.
- Represent the University with professionalism, enthusiasm, and strong customer service in all interactions across the New England region.
- Bachelor's degree required
- Strong pubic relations, customer service, and public speaking skills.
- Strong computer skills.
- Excellent written, oral, interpersonal and organizational skills needed as well as the ability to establish priorities and manage time wisely.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Willingness to embrace new technologies and innovative organizational practices.
- Knowledge of SLATE, Microsoft Office.
- Previous college admissions, recruitment, territory management experience.
- Knowledge of New England high school market, trends, and recruitment events.
- Established relationships with high school counselors throughout New England preferred.
