Job Description
The Henry B. Plant Museum at The University of Tampa has an opening for a Curator of Education. The Henry B. Plant Museum has an opening for a Curator of Education who will be responsible for all Museum educational activities and will report to the Executive Director.
Responsibilities:
Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
Occasional evenings and weekends will be required.

Job Description
The Henry B. Plant Museum at The University of Tampa has an opening for a Curator of Education. The Henry B. Plant Museum has an opening for a Curator of Education who will be responsible for all Museum educational activities and will report to the Executive Director.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement educational programs for children and adults.
- Implement grant writing.
- Develop and conduct training for docents and volunteers.
- Coordinate and conduct museum tours.
- Identify and invite guest speakers and performing artists.
- Develop and coordinate special events.
- Coordinate onsite and outreach theater programs.
- Present public talks and workshops.
- Develop materials to be used by 4th grade social studies teachers.
- Read and research to build knowledge of historical content related to permanent and special exhibits. The successful candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in history, education or related field, Masters preferred.
- Prior experience in American history museum or Florida history museum preferred.
- Prior Experience developing lesson plans for K-12 students preferred.
- Proficient MS Office skills.
- Proven ability in public speaking
- Ability to analyze and interpret historical information.
- Excellent written, oral, interpersonal and organizational skills as well as the ability to establish priorities and manage time wisely.
