Role Description
This is either a graduate assistant or intern Athletic Trainer position. The position is based at Benedict College in Columbia, SC. The Athletic Trainer will assist with the prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries for student-athletes. Responsibilities include monitoring practice sessions, providing first aid and emergency care when needed, maintaining records of athlete treatments, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals and coaches to ensure athletes' well-being.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation techniques.
- CPR and First Aid certifications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with athletes, coaches, and other healthcare professionals.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain accurate records.
- Ability to work on-site, independently, and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- A degree in Athletic Training is required including BOC certification.
- Familiarity with NCAA regulations and compliance requirements is a plus.
